Sunflower Girls State is operated by a staff of 50 women who are either members of the American Legion Auxiliary and/or alumni of Sunflower Girls State.  The staff volunteers their time to this program out of the dedication to Sunflower Girls State and the young women of the State of Kansas.  Each member of the staff takes great pride in insuring that each delegate not only has a "Once in a Lifetime Learning Experience", but also a safe experience.  It is because of this group Sunflower Girls State is regarded as one of the most successful programs offered by the American Legion Auxiliary.
